Tip.....the PTO will dump all of its oil when turned vertically....oh and I probably should have change it once and a awhile as it was milky

First look at the bar.......it's looks better in real life than the pics that Murray posted. The powder coating looks good as well.

Work has stopped as the electrician has arrived so it's back to renos til at least 1pm

I might have to buy some bolts and washers to pack the bottom mount out.

I did have a test fit and I think it's OK....really need a second person to assist as it feels like the bottom mount might be just touching the front member.

Um, either I have a very warped and dirty mind, or just read that statement the wrong way, or you are very flexible, or your front member is quite long...... Whatever, not sure......

Please, when you have finished fitting it, could you post a picture showing if it protects the lower parts of the front guards, on a lot of tube bars (rovacraft, terrafirma etc) the bar sits higher than the guards, leading to potential damage.

    Regards,
    Mike.

    Right it's on..........

I should have opened all the packages as I was scratching my head for a bit. Found two spacers and it all clicked.

With the spaces the bar is a nice tight fit over the chassis rails. In fact it was an effort lining up the four vertical bolts, applied plenty of anti seize as I think I was lucky getting my old bar off. I need to purchase two longer horizontal bolts and that should make it secure.

Winch is not fitted but managed to fit the antenna and light bar. What's the chances of the hi-low switch failing the same day you fit new lights grrrrrr.

Keep in mind mine is set up for a PTO winch.......the bar sits further out by maybe 40mm. If I had my time over again I would have got Murray set the cradle back and I would have shortened up the drive shafts.

I have some feedback for Murray for future bars, but overall I am very happy with the result considering there is nothing on the market for a PTO winch.

I'm guessing an electric winch bar will sit closer to the body.

For 90@, the bottom of the bar is the same height as the bottom of guard

Re: number plate, Murray supplies a bracket but I think I will go a slim plate and fit below the fare lead.

Now just have to find time to fit the winch and new rope.

Hate to ask, but is the bar compliant with the winch mount sticking out like that?

Dunno.......the pics looks a little worse than real life. There are other off the shelf bars which stick out, not that I have seen them up and close to a defender.

Either way it's way better than what I had.

If I had my time over I would have recessed it and adjust the drive shaft.
