Gwyn Lewis Shock Mounts on Puma

Has anyone fitted the Gwyn Lewis dual position rear shock mounts to a puma? If so what did you do with the fuel filter?

Hi Iain, I have the 3 position mount and the fuel spacer. I have the shock in the centre location and there is a country mile of clearance to the fuel filter even if the filter spacer was absent. For the cost of the filter spacer (given the money already invested) it's safer to buy and not want than to want and not have. The spacer simply moved the filter out an inch from the chassis to clear the shock pin in the third or forward position.

    Gwyn will know for sure

    Hi Iain
We fitted a Gwyn Lewis fuel filter adaptor to Brendans 130 and it moved the filter forward enough to clear the shock mount after loosening the fuel lines to the tank to give enough slack in the lines.Still added a piece of rubber around the fuel lines for added protection.

I guess you mean for the shock mounting......it was on Brendans truckit would only be used in that position as it is all about articulation.
If I was doing it on a touring vehicle,I would use one of the other positions, depending on load

Thanks Brendan that would be good just to have a look. I have ordered the filter spacer from Gwyn this evening.
