I found this on Landrover Tuning :: Protection - Defender. Has anyone ever seen one of these or has one on the car, and what do you think ???????

Like the concept, colour is bright!

Wonder how much this will influence axle due to weight when on faster loose surfaces?! May induce a bit more "tramp"

    Hi

    Looks good.

If you do a lot of work in heavy clay think you may have trouble removing the clay that will end up trapped between guard and housing - may be hard to remove.

How many people gave damaged the tube rather than the pumpkin anyway? Not convinced this region is a priority for protection.

I would weld a a brace (doubling as a guard) to the tube before I went this way.

I think i will stick with APT, i can afford them
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

    Rear Door pockets

Landrover Tuning :: Tailgate Organizer, for Land Rover Defender

I like this idea, someone with an industrial sewing machine, canvas, velcro, and a few brass O rings could make some $$$, i would buy one.

A mate of mine had a similar thing on his defender and you lose clearance.
Don't reckon it's work the spend.
I can think of better things to spend $800 on, like HD axles or even a locker.

I might have a word to my wife.
    She has the equipment.
    Can't be hard. I reckon that's pretty expensive. I'll charge a wopping $10 less.

The diff tube is quarter inch thick and takes a fair bit of abuse. It's the steering rods and diff cap that take damage easily.

    That guard is lhd specific.
