Members Wheel, Tyre & Lift Pictures

    Hi fellow members

I thought I would start a general tread relating to members wheel, tyre and lift pictures.

If you wish to add technical details such as engine, gearbox or driveline or your final thoughts go ahead.

Though I would prefer to keep the general chat to a minimum e.g off topic conversations.

    So lets get started.

My 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 Tray back.
    Engine: 300tdi no mods
    Gearbox: R380 300tdi ratios, Lt230 1.4 High Ratio
Diffs: Standard 3.54:1 ratio, Salisbury rear diff
    Lift: None
Wheels: Standard steel with 235/85R16 Ironman Radial A/P
Final Thoughts: The Truck seems to run fine on the larger tires, since this truck would have had 750R16s.

Sorry for the lack of a decent picture...I'm away and all the good pics are on the home computer.

I have Bridgestone MTs in 235/85R16 for my 2009 Puma 110.

A downside is that they produce a little too much road noise for my liking but that aside they provide outstanding traction off-road.

Old Man Emu heavy duty suspension has been fitted front and back which resulted in an unintended slight 15-20mm lift. The new suspension did however result in an odd vibration through the transfer case in 5th/6th when the load came off the accelerator. I fitted a double carden shaft and this solved the problem.

    Everything else is standard.

....and no name as yet for the new toy.

    Rim powder coating

    Hi , nice rig , I would be keen to know how much the powder coating of your rims cost ? Thinking of doing mine too - gun metal grey though not black. Here's my current config ;

    No lift
Front end does have 130 HD rear springs though.

What do you think of the ATZ P3s? I have been looking at them for my car.

Paid $200 for 5 wheels. Had them sandblasted separately.

Gun metal would be a better choice.
