    LT95, whats the difrence

    one set is machined, the other set looks like they are cast? or stamped?

    Bit hard to tell from the pic but they are not LT95 gears which have coarse splines.They look like front diff gears to me. Early and late model ones. The first set could be LT230 centre diff gears.

    ok yes lt230, so i guess they are NOT the same as LT95?

    if so that sort of buggers me up,

    with luck i will have mine out tomorrow. If i can figger out how to get the top right bolt out of the lock selector. or maybe there is a workaround?

    What is the box LT95 or 85. If LT95 I am guessing you mean one of the 4 bolts that hold the vacuum actuator housing to the t/case. Are you trying to remove it while still in the vehicle.

    Easiest way is to remove the floor panel on the drivers side, then you can get at those bolts. If you are just overhauling the centre diff you don't have to take this off. Just lock it and the locking dog will stay with the front output shaft when you remove the centre diff from the rear of the t/case.

    thanks, i sort of wanted to do every thing while i was there, suspect i have blown the spiders. Ie no drive, but 4 wheel drive with lock in.

    If the spider gears are gone you would only have front wheel drive when you lock the centre diff.
