Do they come close to the stock flares?

I'm gonna temporarily put my 33's of the D1 onto the defender while the 110 is in the shop

It is a Safety Devices 10 point roll cage ( except I didn't install the internal roll bar) so it is the 6 point roll cage, however since in QLD that would require some certification, I made it into a "Ladder/Roof rack" as that doesn't require certification. Doesn't stop it from helping in a roll over though

There are quite a few threads on it, as quite a few people have fitted one or something similar. It makes the whole car a lot stiffer, and got rid of a lot of rattles and flexing.

Quite a bit of effort to fit it:

Iain, your tyres looked pretty well shot - how many kms did you get before they looked like that and was it from your big lap?

What size were yours mate ? I have heard lots of mixed reports due to all different rims I guess, would be good to keep them just inside the guards to save putting aftermarket ones on. Think I will just use the standard alloys I have. Cheers Coxy

I got 285/75's mounted on 0 offset 16x8 sunraisers on my 110 and they fitted perfectly, only very slightly outside the stock flares and still able to get a good steering lock, I've since put the same tyres on Mach5 alloys which are about +10 offset from memory and the rear tyres now rub on the top spring mounts on full articulation and steering lock is a little worse, so from my experience if your going to run 285's I wouldn't really do it on anything less then 0 offset.
