DLS have them for 44 pounds,20G suit all defenders models. Pat
I've had a bit of a front end shimmy that I put down to a puncture repair and was going to get the wheel re-balanced.
I was under the Defender today and found excessive play in the joint at the end of the steering drop arm. Looks like the spring inside has broken allowing a lot of up & down movement.
I found 2 part numbers QFW000020 and QFW000020G, which is the correct one ? The Defender is 1994 build, Vin 16L12653A.
Genuine seems to be about 105GBP and OEM 36GBP

Yes, you can replace it in situ. A bit awkward, but nowhere near as awkward as getting the steering arm off usually is!

MacFamily showed me how to do this just 2 weeks ago. Quite simply really. I ordered the RBG00010 kit for about $35. I reckon even I could do it on my own now!
