Reversing lamp on 2010 defender wagon

Mine is not working and am having trouble finding the problem as the bulb is fine. Also, I've made a replacement fuse with leads coming off so I can check if there's voltage at the fuse, which there is! even when the gearbox is in neutral.
I'm assuming there's 12 volts to the switch on the gearbox all the time, and when in reverse the power is sent to the ECU? but then what?, is power sent from ECU directly to the bulb?. The placing of a computer in the middle of such a simple circuit as a reversing light complicates matters.
Can anyone help? or does anyone have a link to a wiring diagram?

    Regards All

    Tieds

Bear had a tow bar wired in at dealer,

he took joy in popping the fuse regularly.. swap for a new fuse -- could it be trailer connector related matter (eg did you recently hook up a trailer?)

When I got a towbar mob to put a towbar on my TD5 they just butchered all the wires at the back of the car. Everytime I hooked a trailer up it would blow a fuse. I then put a 15 or 20 amp fuse in, can't remember what but that solved the problem for a few years.
But now the switch for reverse light died at the gearbox end as there is power at fuse end but none at light end, pain in the bum to get to so I put a separate switch in and operate the reverse light manually.
    Cheers

    reversing light

Thanks for your responses all who did.
No, I haven't had a trailer on the vehicle so no joy there. Some work was done on the gearbox a while ago so maybe they didn't actually reconnect the switch! As you said, pain in the bum to get to.
