Thread: Parts suppliers

Hi guys,

Broke down on the Harbour Bridge this morning. After getting Monty home I found the belt in strips and the tensioner pulley bearing missing...it looks like it had seized, melted and disintegrated it's all but destroyed the tensioner itself. So, I need to get a couple of parts this week so I can fix it and fit the new belt.
Vehicle is a 2008 Defender 2.4 TDCi (110 wagon).

Two questions for the more experienced mechanics among you....

1. Should I get the idlers replaced as well?
2. Where should I get the parts from and am I likely to be able to get them sent to me win a couple of days? Need Monty for next weekend ideally.

I really appreciate your input as always. Very keen to have a go at this myself and start reducing my reliance on the professionals who charge a fortune to do these things for me.
