    TD5 Defender Brake Light Question

If anyone has a TD5 Defender could you check the light on the right hand side rear that is opposite the reversing lamp.
Mine has a red lamp on the right hand side and a clear lamp on the left hand side my red lamp doesn't glow it has a globe but does nothing.
I don't know if its a brake light or a tail lamp even the wiring diagram seems a bit off it indicates there is a right hand side reversing lamp.
If anyone can shed any light on what this lamp should do it would help

    Thanks in advance

Fog light... should have a switch on the dash for it. Only works if the headlights are on and all Defenders have them.

    Cheers,

No problem! Switch should look like this on a Td5

Found the switch and it works fine I always though the switch was redundant

I replaced the red lens with a clear one same as the reverse light then wired in to the reverse light circuit, also replaced both globes with leds.

    2 reversing lights!

Who really needs a fog light in this country anyway.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Not for us, but the guys over in the South East might find use for them on the odd occasion...

Imagine what would have happened if you'd read the manual
