Pretty cool vid though and very dramatic music.
See people, if that had been a japper, it would've floated away.
Hi guys here is a amazing video of a tragic adventure we lived.

Intense stuff! The music makes it feel like you're on your way to save the world. Did the defender start up fine after?
What's the background story to this? Clearly not a situation you would go out of your way to end up in.
NUTS!
There is NO way I would go into that fast flowing river... one slip and you are toast!
Soggy toast.
Sometimes back tracking isn't an option. What we do is hook up a snatch strap to another car so if you get stuck or looks like you might float we rip you out straight away. same thing goes once you're on the other side, if possible pass the strap back and hook up to the front of next car so now you have a tow point from the front and the rear.
Once a very long time ago a mate and i were on our dirt bikes in Gembrook. The day started off sunny, so we headed down this track but it finished at a creek which was about a 6ft drop in and out the other side.
There was no way we were going to lift our bikes up that so we turned around and headed back up. Well it started to rain like in that video. I just made it to the top by throwing the bike down and dragging it up and over a log. My mate who was behind me couldn't get half way up so I walked/ slipped back down and tried to push while he stood next to it and used the throttle. We started to go backwards, the whole side of this hill turned into a mini mudslide. So I said stay here and I'll get some mates to help.
7 of us pushing and with ropes couldn't get it up so we had to leave it there for a week till it stopped raining and the track dried out.
After that I always go in prepared for the worse.
If they were vehicles of a different brand, the comments here would be a lot more colourful.
Ignore any negative feedback. Keep doing it and get it on video! Post it here! Love it!
Naysayers: You may indeed never do such things in your land rover. But live and let live. Different people have different uses for their Land Rover.
Some people treat their Landy like a precious loved one and pamper it only driving to the mall and back - never seeing dirt. Others think THAT is such a waste!
Some people need their landy as their daily driver - so they need it drivable on Monday after a weekend in the bush. Others don't!
And people every day are doing dangerous things that other people would "never do!". Like jumping out of perfectly serviceable aircraft.
So if some people like driving land rovers into fast flowing rivers and other precarious thrill situations - let em!
