GBR Utah one piece axle/drive flange.

I was having a look on the GBR Utah website, and came across some one piece axle/drive flanges for both Salisbury and P38 diffs.
Wondering if anyone on here has any other info about them other than what is on the GBR website?

They look like fully floating axles with the shaft splines coming through the drive flange. The text talks about a one piece which is one way of overcoming the lack of lubrication in a grease lubed hub, the other is to run oil lubed hubs. Most have gone with the oil lubed solution.

Is there something in particular you are after, there are plenty of places where LR components can be had and with a little bit more known about them.

    G'day Slug_burner,
I think that the picture that you are talking about is for the heavy duty axles and drive flanges advertised above the one piece expedition shafts.

Over the years, I've run pretty much every aftermarket axle/drive flange you can get for ninety's and defenders, both grease and oil lubed.

Just looking around at rebuilding a rear axle of an early ninety at the moment, and saw the one piece and wondered if anyone had any info on them in regards to metallurgical properties, testing, etc.

I've currently got one piece, axle/drive shafts in the axle that I'm about to rebuild and want to upgrade a bit.

    Regards,
    Mike.

Edit: I'll probably end up going for a disc braked Salisbury rear axle with a custom length prop shaft in the vehicle to match the Salisbury front axle that I've got for it.

Bloody Good Idea if you ask me, I know of no other 4x4 that has a separate drive flange to half shaft, They fixed it on the RRC , why they never carried it over to Defender is beyond me !!

dont trust the website, bilstein shocks listed at $84 each but when you contact they are $124 each, i purchased my detroit and trutrac from them and was happy with the price and service, went to order shocks at advertised price 2 weeks ago and wasnt happy.....

These are presumably the same Moser axles that keith from rovertracks used to sell.

They are made from pre-hardened 1541H forged axle blanks with an integral flange. The splines are cut after hardening and the flange finish machined and drilled.

Nothing wrong with them, but imho HTE or ashcroft are a better product.
