    Lost me there Pat... does that mean very easy or very hard!

    Just joking, I'd imagine it pretty easy with the right tools. Never even had a work bench in the UK (no space), so new idler and 5 minutes to swap over in spring (Salty grit seemed to kill them every winter).

    The 300tdi idlers all take the same bearing. It is a 6203 bearing and are available pretty much everywhere for a couple of dollars. We even got some in a tiny shop in the Gobi desert Mongolia.

    Get a good brand as a lot are chinese and wont last , koyo or skf if you can.
    Also replace the snap ring with a proper circlip so its easier next time.
