Hi all, I am new to this forum and have just bought a new Defender 110. Loving it so far, but i would like to reduce the noise of stones under the rear wheel arch when driving on a gravel road. i have seen a few suggested fixes in the forums. Has anyone tried using some very tough tarpaulin fabric like that used on truck side curtains? I am planning to try this, perhaps two layers thick. I have access to this type of material, so i can try a couple of options. The issue will be fixing it to the underneath of the wheel arch.
I might do a short test, just temporarily fixing it with duct tape, or similar, drive on a gravel road for a short while and assess the benefit or otherwise.
i will then look at a more secure attachment mechanism, perhaps with some brackets.
Any feedback would be most welcome.
