Has anyone used the Maxtrax mounting kit? More specifically has anyone mounted them at an angle, this would be to allow the wheel carrier based camp light to continue to function.

If the Maxtrax are mounted to a dual carrier they have to be vertical (like this) so they don't stick out the side of the vehicle.
On a single carrier where the wheel sits more central the Maxtrax can be mounted horizontally.
I made this Maxtrax mount for a customer which mounts to the centre of the spare and incorporates the Maxtrax mounting pins.

After much lusting after the aluminium jobbies from Terra Firma and wondering where to store them, i am taking the sensible option MaxTrax and Rijidij

Down the track this i something I may be interested in so when you get them can you post some details regarding ease of use. Also can you lock the maxtrax on to the wheel carrier.
Murray could you maybe post a thread in the vendors section regarding these? Thanks
I think you would need to thread a bike lock through to secure them.
i have just asked Murray, how it impacts tail light & number plate visibility.
Will post once i get it sorted
