alarm going off on new 130

    Hey,

Can anybody suggest a fix to the alarm issue that I am having atm. After the heavy rain today and driving in wet conditions my alarm has been going off after I lock the car using the fob.

Are any easy fixes known and is this common?

    Vehicle is a 2015 130.

    Regards,

    Ice cream

Which alarm are you referring to? I know of 3 so far being low fuel, leaving lights on or locking the car when all the doors are not shut. Is there another one?

Anyway, in the absence of getting to a deal over the weekend I would try disconnecting the battery and see if that re-sets it.

I'd say it is the doors one as the other certainly aren't possible as the lights are off and the tank has somewhere around 50 litres in it.

I've checked the doors are closed and the bonnet is shut. Tempory fix has been disconnecting the battery overnight and will find all the sensors tomorrow and check their operation

    What is the sound?

The low fuel warning is 1 'ding' as well as a little orange light on the fuel gauge.

The leaving lights on is a 'ding, ding, ding, ding' sound until you turn them off.

The leaving doors open one is the worst coz the horn keeps honking so when someone's tried to lock the door before you've managed to get out of the car it scares the living cr@p out of you.

If its two horn beeps in quick succession after you lock it then its a door sensor.
If its a relentless horn beep beep beep a bit after you've locked it then I reckon it might be the bonnet sensor, that guy can be a bit tricksy I hear.
I had the same problem, alarm would just go off anytime at all. Turned out to be one of the door sensors but then the central locking wasn't working either so sent it back to the dealer and they had an auto electrician give it the once over. Now its golden, or they've just disconnected the alarm altogether! but the neighbours are happy!
