If your going to put a rear wheel carrier on you need to consider this before putting rear bumperettes on.

Yeah from what I've seen some are compatible with a wheel carrier and some not

Yeah, I really liked the Frontrunner ones but they need modification to the drivers side one to fit with a Rijidij wheel carrier. I've got Mulgo ones in transit that fit.

I was having a look at the Beams website and came across their Chassis Filling and Sealing service.

Beam Rustproofing - Products and Services

Would this be overkill? Also would there be any down sides?

Only catch I can see would be if the loom in the rail would need to come out the chassis.

I asked about rust proof coatings at the dealer when I ordered my 110 last week and they said they only offer electronic rust prevention systems.

I couldn't believe it was being flogged by a Land Rover dealer.

As someone who's restored other cars, I thought everybody knew that electronic rust prevention is up there with magnetic wrist bracelets and healing crystals.

I know guys who swear by it, but it usually happens that they maintain their vehicles spotlessly in other ways too - which I suspect is why they have no rust.

I didn't even consider rust prevention until I read this forum.I don't intend doing too much beach driving and the one time I went to Stockton beach I washed underneath pretty well,I thought.Any way ,modern vehicles don't seem to suffer with rust like the old days.I thought the vehicles in the UK rusted because they salt the roads. Now that I've shown my ignorance on the subject,Has anyone used and can recommend someone in Sydney, west preferably

Can't help you there since I don't live in Sydney, but on the general topic of rust, I've gone to used 4x4 lots over the last few months and looked at modern Defenders from about 2008-2014 - and usually see rust appearing externally on the hinges, and internally in edges and nooks. I haven't got down under any but I can only assume the same is happening everywhere.

I'm also keen for a Sydney based option, but have never seen one recommended on these forums and Google is unsuccessful. Qld tick. WA tick. I even think there is a place in Melbourne. But no one in Sydney, so if anyone knows of one, please share!
