I've seen a write up somewhere, possibly on Defender2, where they have attached the bracket to the A pillar with sikaflex to avoid drilling it. Apparently its solid as a rock

Using one of the older metal mushroom top style, the side plate doesn't require drilling.... Well, one hole in the flange that's hidden by the plate. The windscreen can either be drilled, or a custom bracket made to mount to the flange that the door rubbers attach to.

I wouldn't worry too much about the windscreen frame. They are easy to get ahold of, or you could silkaflex some grub screws in place, should you remove the snorkel/rai.

Its amusing (and I was very much of the same mind set years ago) how people loath the thought of punching a hole in a vehicle...

Reality is it really does very little to the value of the vehicle and often compromises your installations of items in the vehicle too.

Now - I make a committed plan to the outcome of my modifications and then work out the best way to effectively achieve it. If holes are needed - then holes are made

Emma (Mrs Tombie) shiny 90 is about to get a significant amount of work done and several holes will be going into it to achieve the outcome desired.

Just keep it clean, make sure the install achieves your goal (dont drill holes then change your mind) and you'll end up with a fantastic result!

Here is a picture that requires only four small holes to be drilled in the windscreen frame.It also replaces the original intake tube. Comes stainless or powder coated in black.

That looks great. I just emailed them to see if they're a reasonable price. Would look good in black on the perentie
