    Congratulations! Very exciting times.

Good luck with the research, planning and indecisions that will inevitably come over the next 7 months...

I'll get some chequer plate wing cover from first four as LAnd ROver want $1800 or something ridiculous for them.

Be quick, I think it was either 23 or 26th of this month for final orders.
You weren't picking yours up last week from Southerns were you. When I was picking up my 110 last week from service/warranty repairs there was a grey 90 with sidesteps being handed over to a someone in a fluoro work shirt. Was that you?

    Definitely recommend:

Rear wheel carrier to get the wheel off the rear door - Mantec was my choice
Extended seat runners for extra front seat room - Mulgo in Sydney
Rear doors extended opening kit from Mulgo - cheap and a very good idea.

For those with the seat runners:

I'm 6ft and find the seating position just right for me. Sometimes I feel like it would be nice for the seat to go further back but overall it doesn't worry me. I'm not sure I could fit them as the Pocket Rocket is 5ft 1inch.

Do the seat runners assist or impede those who might have leg length issues (of the short variety)?

"Any other items I should add."

Absolutely nothing. At least until you've owned and driven it for a couple of months and developed an idea of what will make your vehicle work better for your use.

You may be lucky and find that it needs nothing

Enjoy it. I know you will.

They assist - I'm the same height as you and was similarly comfortable with the standard seating position. I fitted extended rails on a whim and prefer the slightly higher position they provide - the extra rearward movement is irrelevant to me as I don't run the seat all the way back normally anyway.

The extended runners don't cause my wife, who's is short, any problems. She likes being able to sit a bit further back and uses her laptop to study while we are travelling long distances, so it gives her more room to fit the laptop on her lap.

I'm 6 ft 2 inches and I found the extended seat runners meant I could get my knees further away from the dashboard and be more comfortable. My elbows also seem to have more room, but that could be an illusion.

The Defender has an upright seating position, which some people don't like at first, but I find it's actually very comfortable over long distances, probably because the spine isn't bent as much as with a more reclining seat. You just have to get used to having your elbows bent a bit more than in other vehicles. Its more like a bus driving position than a car.

Hi Choppy2925. It's all very good advice you're getting here. I recommend the ARB Bar as well. I don't know where you are in Sydney but ARB in St Peters are helpful and they won't shove anything down your throat.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.
