Hi , If you pleased then good -on-ya . You don't say what model you Land Rover is , a bit of info on the re mapped would be good !!.. cheers Jim
So today I got "Barry" back from Bruce Davis performance. I left him there Tuesday afternoon to have a front mounted intercooler installed, egr shut off and blanked, decat, 30mm terrafirma wheel spacers installed and a rear shock to hold the boot door open.
Remap, love it. Absolutely love it! I loved driving the car before, now it's even better. Throttle response is great and feels like their is unbelievable torque down low. No longer does it feel like a lethargic elegant but rather a bull pulling a plow
The spacers, love em. I have a normal turning circle. Should be like that from factory. I don't want to hear the illegal crap, cause I don't care....lol
Overall very happy. Bruce is a gentlemen and I highly recommend him. Thanks to him and the team at Davis performance!

hi, glad you enjoy your car, what a difference,i have had my done also.

I sent my MY13 2.2 ECU to Bruce Davis six months ago to get remapped,
Bruce advised because i did not fit an aftermarket high performance inter cooler, they only did a mild remap, and if I decide to buy the high performance inter cooler later, they will remap at not additional charge.
Was the mild remap worth it, yes in deed, over 1800 rpm it feels like a GO switch has just been flicked on.
It can now pull uphills while remaining in 6th gear with no issues.
Recently tested on the Simmo dunes where it pulled well up the dunes without changing to a lower gear.
Even the mechanic at Land Rover advised that's how they should go from the factory.
Just a word of warning, while remaps are good (got one myself) loading up the engine at low revs in big gears up hills (holding 6th up a long highway type hill for example) isn't good practice and will result in very height egts and potential limp mode cut outs.
An EGT guage will quickly illustrate what I mean. You can build high egts with a standard map too, but the lack of power often means you change down sooner (which then drops your egts).
Not saying don't enjoy it, just something to be aware of is all.
I was going to get dyno before and after but it was to expensive. Considering I former out 4.6k for all of the listed worka I really couldn't afford the extra 500 for a before and after dyno run.
Bruce has to have the cars dynoed externally as he does not have a in house dyno.

Glad to hear you are happy. I also had a BD 'medium' chip upgrade + intercooler + exhaust + boost thingie recently. What a difference. Just watch your exhaust temps though. Mine will pull hard up a hill in top but the egt's climb quickly to 650 deg. Changing down to 3rd gets them back under control.

UIt's funny you should say that, because I actually asked Bruce whether I should be worried at all about egts. He said no, it will be fine.
Now you guys are telling me this I'm starting to wonder and am curious. I am going to have a egt monitor installed and see whats happening.
Considering the front mount and decat I asked for a conservative tune to avoid potential problems.
When we were test driving he actually told me to put it into 5th and climb this long hill at 70kms. I was amazed with how much torque I had on tap. Now you guys are telling me that this is not a good idea.
How long ago was your car tuned and is it a 2.2 or 2.4?
