How do you stop dog scratching tint on rear window?

I have just built a false floor in the rear of my new Defender. I have a tunnel for my rifles and a tunnel for other stuff which will become a draw when I have time. My fruit loop dog which is a GSP will have his bed in the back as he will not be coming onto the back seat of the Defender again once was enough stress
Now my worry is he will for sure while waiting for someone to open the rear door when the car stops start scratching it. This will damage the tint and the electric heated window, what can be done to protect it, what do you guys do? It is only me who has a dog that is nuts?
    Cheers
    Chris

You could attach a large piece of clear perspex to cover the window. I believe that you can buy it from Bunnings too

That would work I guess. I did not want to drill my rear door really to mount it, but I suppose I could use silicone and clamp it on until it dries. Only trouble with perspex is it will end up looking tatty too with all the dog scratches on it.

Dogs are supposed to be restrained in vehicles... just clip a lead from a tie down point forward of the cargo area that is just short of the rear glass...

We have an over enthusiastic Samoyed... Keep her nails trimmed and she has on multiple occasions run her claws down the tint with no ill effects at this stage!

2 strips of adhesive velcro (hook and loop) stuck along sides of door frame.

Corresponding strips on sides of perspex... Makes it removable when not in use!

Dogs dont have to be restrained in Queensland.
I might try clipping Pluto's nails too.

Good idea, but what to stick the velcro to the door with?

Self Adhesive velco, in fact i must get some.

another shopping tip from Tombie (My Bowden's arrived today). Equivalent ot a months salary for a labourer up here
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

It's all ok, i used the wifes Ozzie account, my PNG account is secret men's business, only used for wine, women and song and the occasional secret Defender part.
