Thread: Front Discovery I seat belt on defender

I don't think that Discovery 1 seat belts fit any defender without making changes to the mounting points.

When buying Defender front seat belts just be aware that there are two main differences with them,

One sort suits 90/110 hard tops or utes (and also 130 single cabs), and the other setup is for 110 wagons and dual cabs and also 130 dual cabs.

There is a difference in the models of the inertia reel design and the mounts for it.

There is also a difference in the belt brackets, the hardtop & single cab ute versions mount the fixed end of the belt on the inertia reel bracket, whereas the other versions have the mount for the belt separate down near the door.

Here are a couple of part numbers that show the difference in the designs...

BTR6561. (Left hand)
BTR6562. (Right hand)

And,

EVB000540LNF. (Left hand)
EVB000550LNF. (Right hand)

There are actually quite a few different versions of the seat belts, but these show the two main types.
