    Recall on 2012-2013 Defenders

    Just wondering why they would replace the sump on an oil pump recall?

    Didn't replace my sump when they did the pump. Sump might have been defective or they broke something.

    Mine's not been done yet, but from what I've read, the sump is very securely sealed to the crank case, so much so that it could be damaged upon removal, hense the inclusion of a new sump in the replacement parts "kit".
