Maybe the engine is not running The GPS log can be accessed and resets when you start the engine Silly enough to take hands off the wheel but not eyes off the road to take a pic

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Latte, Yes there are some very stupid, selfish drivers around that's for sure,...same thing happened to us today whilst out in the Country in Gracie, although we weren't towing a trailer.
We came up behind a Ute towing some sort of farm implement,..he was doing about 80kph. We normally sit on around 90/95 so went to overtake, whereupon he proceeded to speed up,...I had to get to 120/130 by the time I got past, after which He slowed down, & slowly receeded into the background!!
Why do people do this stuff?!

Here in Malaysia the one and only universally observed rule of the road, "Me First", embodies the behaviour you mentioned above...along with a whole lot more poor driving practices.

There is a reason TDCis have speed limiters on them! They hit the limiter speeds (148kmh/90mph in the 2.2) very easily. And at 110kmh on the highway you have to be alert not to drift well over posted speed limits - it is so comfortable and effortless at those speeds.
Our Defender TDCI 2.4 is only ticking over at 100 kmh in sixth at just 2000 rpm. I don't know how fast it will go, but it can certainly get along.

For those that don;t know what a log is try a record of a past events. When I read that crap about fear white knuckles and struggling to reach 100k I went and took that pic .Its from about 5 weeks ago the engine is not going so the lights are oil pressure and hand brake. When you press the recall button the needle moves to the highest recorded speed and resets when you start the engine it also records 0- 100k and standing 1/4 mile ET With a little work a new Puma could be made to give that white knuckle fear feeling if thats what you desire
