No way was I doing 170. He was mistaken. The 170hp BAS tune has speed limiter set to 160. So 170 is out of the question!

My speedo was always about 5% or so optimistic (more accurate now with the new tyres more recently fitted) So even a true 160 wasn't hypothetically achievable

The police escort made a difference to safe travel at speed. Of course.

Actually, I get lots of comments too. Not many are negative either. Even cruiser drivers are moved to complimentary mode and quite often.
