    What's this plug please?

    Behind the panel where the hazard light switch is, to the RHS of the steering column.

    It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    That is the plug for the switch which enables the flux capacitor

    Well that's where it is!

    Now all I need to do is work out how to get the Defender up to 88m/h!

    No, really. It's the plug for either the hazards or rear window demister. I can't remember right now, but I have the dash apart atm and I'll check when I get home.

    Ok, I just checked. It is the rear demister switch.

    Thanks, if it's one or the other it must be the (non existent in my case) window demister. It's certainly not the hazards. That unmistakable nightmare of a wiring block is in there.
