his 1' lift one seems ok. I will still get shafts done just as a precaution even thouogh everyone seems to think it wont need it lol
That $2525...
Equates to OME +40mm lift, plus purchase of 2 shafts - and change![]()

Context:
The reason the shaft is needed is operating angles...
Once a joint is moved a certain amount the operating angles change and the uni-joints can bind.
If you add travel, you change the operating angle... If you lift it, you change the static operating angle...
If it travels further than the std joint is designed - it will bind up and load the joints along with the items they attach to (TC and Diff Pinion) and do damage.
The Tdci is more susceptible at lower lifts etc (compared to earlier models) due to the alignment with the 6 speed box.
The extra travel will kill the joints even with no lift when used to capacity.
Bilstein 7100 got a good rap here, what about Bilstein B6 Offroad
Are both available for for a Puma 110 ?
How do they compare ?
A little bit more travel would be nice, but i will probably go for the 130 springs and try and keep the height standard.,
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
apologies to Socrates
Clancy MY15 110 Defender
Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
I was considering the B6 off road Bilsteins but a lot of mention is made regarding the 7100.They just seem like overkill to me.Any opinions appreciated.
