Anyone running a Smittybilt winch in newer ARB bar?

    Hey guys

Been looking at the Smittybilt winches.

I like the look of them and like the fact they are waterproof with lifetime warranty

However it states on the ARB website that it's not recorded to fit all ARB bars

Does anyone have on in their newer ARB bar?

If so which one do you have. I was looking at the 12,000lb winch because having a 130 and a camper I thought the bit extra would be more ideal but ARB only seem to do the 10,000lb
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Just use a snatch block on the 10,000lb. Mine has been used well over 30 times in a day up her in the wet. Dragging myself and a mate in his 75 series troop carier out of mud. Yes I totalled my battery that day.

It's still going strong and I get plenty of comments about how well it pulls. I do suspect it had something to do with me having near new 1000CC Cat battery last wet and as it happens the winch motor is on the same side as the battery in the Disco so I have pretty short and heavy power cable run.

    Happy Days

The 10,000lb will be fine Lou...

Most winch recoveries are only the top first to second layer anyway...

When things get really serious - break out the Snatch Block...
