Colour choice is an intriguing thing isn't it, I'm not convinced we all see colours in the same way as each other. Perhaps your Keswick is not my Keswick. As long as you love it that's all that counts.
I can't imagine colours at all so I leave it to Pocket Rocket she can see these things so I just trust her to get it right. When we wanted the black wheel arches the dealer insisted it wouldn't look any good but she stuck to her guns and once they saw ours they ordered one with the exact same specs as ours for stock.

My old County need one for the last 10 second of it's life.

They don't hold up well in a roll over.

    Go the Santorini black!

Seriously though the Keswick looks good too. Especially with the white roof. I test drove an all green one with black wheel rims. It somehow just was a bit too much green (plus the wife wasn't too keen).

At the end of the day though, there isn't a colour that a Defender doesn't look good in!

I like the 'All Black' and 'Corris Grey and Black' look, but I think I'd feel like a Bond villain or someone out of the Bourne Identity driving round in it - I'd have to start dressing better...

I wonder why Land Rover didn't sell the Defender in matte or drab khaki or sand. I would have thought that kind of minimalist, adventurous but functional look would have gone over well. You see these kinds of colors in aftermarket Defenders that go for big $$$.

I presume when you go over corrugations you're shaken, not stirred?

White is minimalist enough for me.

When I did a trip up to the Kimberly, I installed a barrier behind the front seats to stiffen the roof up a bit. I didn't fancy the roof pan caking in on me in case of a roll over. The external roll cage has it's place, I hope I don't ever need it. If I was setting up Defender for a round the globe adventure I'd go the external roll cage.

Just curious! Are there any problems in using high-flow diesel bowsers at petrol stations?

Would be helpful once I fit auxiliary tanks.

my 110 has a removable filter screen in the tank filler. tends to foam the fuel unless it is run down the side of the filler neck. only usually taking on 40 litres so would rather have dry non smelly boots.
