That is one seriously good looking truck! I've made the right decision!
However I went with the Sawtooth alloys and didn't get the side steps (I'll be fitting rock sliders).

Also I second the "what roof rack is that?"

Sawtooth's were as rare as hen's teeth apparently when I ordered. The roof rack is a k9 expedition roof rack, they are available in 3 increments the last one fitting the full roof of a 110.

    Diesel at service stations

I topped up the diesel in the Defender the other night, successfully(!), but had to search for a service station that sold diesel. I was wondering how rare it is to come across stations that don't sell diesel?

Cant say I've ever seen a station in Melb that "doesn't" sell diesel.
I've been in servo's where the diesel is say on one side of the shop, and the petrol is on the other, so they are sort of sepeated, but thats been in small country towns, not the city.

Any Shell, Caltex or BP would have diesel.

That K9 looks good. There's a piece in the latest 4 x 4 Australia about them. They appear to be dearer than the Front Runner flat racks, which are about $7-800 from memory.
I'm trying to decide between going the full flat rack with integrated legs such as them or taking the cheaper option of just buying a flat deck and clamping it to the Rhino Racks, as I have 5 of them.

The K9 racks appear to be cheaper than the Hannibal item I was looking at.

Discovered another advantage of a Defender if you wear thongs. The space under the front seats is just enough to slide a pair of thongs in side by side under the bar you lift to slide the seat. The bar then stops the thongs from falling out on the floor. Built-in thong holders - how cool is that!

High 5's all round!! That's exactly what I found last weekend.

My first bout of warm weather in the D. and I found that the thongs get in the way on the floor, so slipped 'em under the seat as you described. They also slot in nicely beside the seat and cubby holder.
