On the Defender Day Out last Saturday the leader, whose Defender was five speed, recommended over the radio we all go into low first for one descent. When I stuck our six-speed Puma in low first it almost came to a stop. I could have walked down the hill faster. I had to go to second low to keep moving at a similar pace to the leader. Man that low first is low!
Anti-stall is great uphill BTW. We crawled out of a creek bed and up a bank with the anti-stall keeping the revs up and the TC stopping wheel spin. It made it look easy.
