    2010 defender a 5 cylinder ?

    Gday All,

I seen a defender advertised today and said a 2010 with a 5 cylinder engine. It had the hump in the bonnet and I was under the impression they were a 4 cylinder 2.2 or 2.4 ltr .

    Did the 2010 defender have a TD5 ?

    Cheers Ean

Isnt 2010 the change over year so early 2010 might be TD5 but later in the year Puma, either way the TD5 didnt have the bonnet bulge unless it has a Puma bonnet.

No, 2007 was the first of the Puma Defenders, 2006 was the last production year of the td5

I had a mechanic mate try to tell me that the Puma 2.4 was a five cylinder because he counted the "injector lines" coming out of the top of the pressure tube. He looked awfully sheepish when I followed the middle one with my finger down to the injector pump!

Not a local mechanic? I take mine to Sydney for servicing and work still.
