Sure bloke, Defenders are tough. Yep...genius! Defenders are tough. ...yep, still tough. Hang on, is my manliness in question? Nah it's ok, my Defender is tough. ...isn't it? ...yeah it's all ok, my Defender is tough. Yep still tough...

But...a Defender is also a thing of beauty, a design classic. And one of its attributes is quiet confidence, while all others primp and preen with their raised stiletto suspension, fat tyres, endless pretty light bars, Defender just gets on with the job, with grace...oh yeah and TOUGHNESS!

I always thought the hump was caused by the motor(being as power full as it is) trying to escape when under full load.


I've got the checker plate on mine.
Being white the glare when driving was horrible.
Black checker plate soon sorted that out and gives it a far better look than black paint.
It could be used as a tool bench when bush as the bonnets are easy to remove:p

My chequerplate wings, when I get them, will be painted black to contrast with the white paint.
No way I'll be putting a spare wheel on the bonnet though. That's what wheel carriers are for.

This is the kind of double hump I would have like have seen. :)

Saw two of the gulls in Santa Barbara last year. +1 million $ each.

Saw a Series 1 in Black Rock for sale, hump in the rear (pto thingy). = 23K $
