				A new dual mass flywheel fitted is about $1200.  Cheaper if you go to a HD non dual mass version.  While you are in there consider fitting a new output shaft seal.
When my flywheel went all symptoms suggested a thrust bearing.  When it was dismantled the dual mass flywheel had disintegrated.  It was surprising that it had any drive the condition it was in.  Not complaining, it had 350,000 kms on the original flywheel.
as for being the most expensive car to own, yep they can be.  It's in the company of an old jag, the RRC, P38 RR and any triumph.  Funny that there is an English theme.
