    If your only loosing the pin, measure it's diameter then go & buy a plastic knitting needle the same dia. & cut ya own. If you cut it longer & don't poke it in all the way you can then grip it & pull it out & reuse it. Not a pretty option in some cases though.

    Here is the type with a screw in centre.

    I've come across these holding plastic trim & shields underbonnet that need to be occasionally removed.

    As Judo said, do a bulk purchase - or buy them next time you place a UK order for some other part. They are small and light so the freight is minimal. And while you're at it buy a few BTR6682 and EYQ100130 in case you remove the interior panels at the rear in the future. Sometimes (not always) the freight from Rimmer Brothers - Triumph Car Parts, MG Rover Car Parts, and Land Rover Car Parts and Spares can be quite competitive. Other times not.

    As others have said, buy them in bulk. I keep 6mm, 8mm and 10mm on the shelf at work in various types. Usually $10 - $15 for 100 of them.

    B1/100 - 6mm x 16mm Pack 100 - Scrivet :: Plastic push in Scrivet Clips :: Plastic Clips :: Parts 4 Cars

    Looks like good value to me. Although shipping is an extra $15. $37 inc shipping still looks cheaper than other sites I can find.

    Anyone found a better deal?

    Forget scrivets. They go in easily but they never seem to unscrew.

    Try these 3-stage push rivets used on motorbikes. One pushes the pin in to release the clip. Then after removal, push the pin back out ready for reuse.

    They look nice... have you bought any? If so, from where?

    Cheers!

    Those 3 stage jobs look like the ducks nuts.

    I'd be down for 60 or so, IIRC each flare has about 12 or so rivets.

    If we can find a supplier, and get significant interest I'd be happy to do some leg work about pricing for a bulk buy. Wouldn't need to find many buyers to get a thousand.
