The slight noise from the handbrake drum when you spin it will be magnified by 1000% when the car is running, creating a constant noise but Id have thought it was audible from both sides
howdy all after all the maintenance done I have a noise that wasn't there before, if I didn't know better id say a brake pad noise, it has that sound.
its coming from the drivers side as you cant hear it from the passengers side
ive replaced the following, rear salsbury pinion seal, new rear rotars&pads, rear wheel bearings, seals, transfer case output flange &seal, all oils, checked &greased driveline, spun all the wheels seem good only sound I get is a slight intermittent noise when I spin the hand brake drum,
I still feel a slight bit movement from the handbrake drum cleaned the brakes with brake clean all nuts done up to torque values any ideas appreciated is it possible to drive with out rear brake pads to check if there maybe a problem,i did fit the mud shield to the transfer output flange but if it was that would it not be there when I spin the wheels driving me nuts
cheers
