The first holes are the hardest mate.
After a few more, you won't think twice before putting the drill to the duco...

My Nugget Air Box kit arrived yesterday and I'm horrified by the fitting instructions:

I've not put a single drill hole in it yet and I've now got to attack it with an air saw

I used a knife. It's not incredibly difficult to cut, but it is one of those 'no turning back' jobs.
Just don't do as I did and get a hole in the hose due to mounting it wrong, and tearing a hole in it with the steering linkage

It's taken me a while to post this but a couple of weeks ago the shiny new bull bar I ordered from APT fabrications arrived and I fitted it to the car. I have took it off road the other week and was hoping to get bogged and test out the recovery points on it but it seems the defender can handle itself pretty well and got through it all without help

I also have had my ex box sitting around at home for a while now but have been putting off installing it as I intend to pull out everything in the front of the car to apply dynamat and install the radio as well as moving all the electronics into the ex box in the one go and the whole process seems very daunting. Hopefuly I work up the courage and time to do it soon.

    Bullbar looks good.

I too was apprehensive about doing the ex box... but once you get into it, it's easy. If you can disconnect your TV / HI-FI / Surround sound system and put it back together in a different room without blowing something up, you won't struggle with an ex box
