    puma diff strengh

    Hey guys,

So I'm thinking on selling my perentie and buying a 2.2 puma 130. I've read all sorts on the strength of puma diff but I can really find any 1st hand instances where people have broke them. There's a puma I'm considering with 33's am I going to kill a standard diff with these size tyre on them. I don't do super crazy track the worst I've done in my perentie would be the may town coach road, but I'm a fairly sympathetic with the go pedal.

I know you can swap to a Salisbury from previous 110 but you'll need a new rear drive shaft.

Also read a little about ashcroft HD p38 units but can't really see anything on the ashcroft site. Would buying a ashcroft locker and pegging it be enough for 33's or 35's in the future.

    Cheers,

    Michael

My Puma (110) has done the May Town road and most of the tracks in the High Country on the P38 diff (typically at gvm). Mine's on 33s and the diff has been pegged with an Ashcroft locker but I doubt it was 'needed'.

    Thank you gentlemen,
My google searches of Pegging and pegged leaves me with more questions than it did answers. At this stage, I will not be signing up for such activities.

Can you elaborate on the benefits of pegging perchance?
