Looks like they know a lot about Defender, great website, if they were in Melbourne, I'd definitely be checking them out.

Hmmm, now I see that you are in Perth. That could be a stretch. Or, perhaps ROAD TRIP!!!

My question is, should I get the dealer to do this prior to delivery, or should I take the car to someone like arb and get them to do it?

    Any thoughts.
All the smaller gear can be bought ex UK cheaper than here. Pat

You can always order online and then either fit yourself or get a workshop to do it. Good LR choices I know of include:

    The Expedition Centre
    APT
    Landybitz

You can order LR stuff from England, but of course you have to pay freight.

Good advice Mick, just one thing make sure whatever you buy online that the person he gets to fit doesn't supply/fit themselves. It's a bit of a "rub in the face" if you go buy a part that they supply and then ask them to fit it, not really that ethical. I'm sure you would have taken this into consideration yourself Mick, just thought it might be a good idea to bring it to others attention.

It's always good to find your installer and have the conversation, for instance if they supply a certain side step and you like a different style only available OS ask them prior if they would fit this style.

Ha ha ha I'm probably looking into this too much but I'm in business and if someone asked me to go finish someone else's or their own attempt of work I wouldn't be happy. I remember reading another forum members comment (LR Mechanic) he said if their smart enough to source the part themselves then their smart enough to fit themselves. Ha ha ha

That's very true. If the local guy supplies it, I would usually go with him and get him to fit it, as long as the charge wasn't ridiculous. But if the supplier isn't local and the local guy doesn't supply it, I have no problem asking if he will fit it.
