Driving and suddenly squeals from the engine bay and alternator light comes on.
Investigation shows that no tension on serpentine belt, and the power steering pump is flopping around like a fish in a bucket.
Can anyone point me to an appropriate diagram showing how / where it is supposed to be secured, and what particular fasteners are required?
Thanks

Yeah you appear to have lost a couple of bolts, the pump bolts to a bracket and that bracket bolts to the timing cover.

I don't remember exactly how the pump mounts up on the 300TDi but there may also be some bolts deep inside the alloy holder that the pump is sitting in. If the outside bolts fell out I'd definitely look closely once you've got the pulley off and the steel plate out of the way. From memory all the p/s mounting bolts are M8 by 20mm or thereabouts, LR use 10mm heads but normal 13mm ones should fit. A dab of Loctite on the bolts won't go astray.
you appear to be missing at least 2 of the 3 mounting bolts that secure the pump to its mounting bracket. (video wont load for me ATM Im making the assumption off of just the photo)
if you're lucky they have just worked their way out, if you're unlucky they have snapped.
to replace them as is you will need to remove the pully from the pump and as the serpentine belt wont hold the pully for you you will need a filter strap to hold it while you undo the bolts.
from memory the 2 bolts should be m8 1.25mm with a 30mm length. they are a shouldered bolt and are suspiciously exactly the same as the longer of the short bolts that hold your water pump in place (IE not the ones that go through the pump, housing, p gasket and into the block) as well as the bolts on your timing cover.

I was hoping I could get away without removing the pulley - bugger eh.....
