I don't think that's the case. If you take a look at the service schedule: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/attachment...1&d=1458082324 it has lots of caveats in there. For example, transfer and diffs are only at 80k. Take a look at the gearbox oil ... 200k is that a typo?
It's only if usage is considered "arduous" that things get done sooner. You could argue in Oz we should satisfy X "Extended periods of driving in hot conditions over 35C".
Disclaimer: This sheet could be out of date, it's from 2012 and might have been updated since.

Just checking in. Interesting thread.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
Yeah Mick, you'd think this should be the case, but essentially an A service is an oil and filter change for around $500 bucks! I think they top up your windscreen washers. And a B service is variable depending on the k's you're up to. IMO they should be checking all fluids, greasing, brakes, filters, etc at every service, but I doubt many dealers do. An indi would.
My recent dealer 40K B service didn't include any change of fluids other than engine oil and brake fluid flush. So I'll change the diff and transfer case oils myself with correct spec oils. Having said that, my dealer service agent is excellent and would change anything I ask for / do arduous use service if required. They are just following their books / schedules. The 20K A & B service intervals are for purely city driving IMO.
