Hi Chris. Would you settle for a ute or does it have to be a tray back?
Cheers, Billy.

Ok. I'm going to start putting notes under wipers. You never know your luck in the big City.

Very nice, That has to be quote of the decade. All too true for me.... without the help I have had from Jboot I would be curled up in the fetal position rocking myself to sleep under a bridge in Brisbane somewhere cursing the day I bought a "cheap" defender.
I was very lucky to have that sort of help and happily because of that now have vague grasp of what to do when things go bang, which is priceless.
just saw a maroon pik-up with a bucket load of extras and a suspension and tyre upgrade, not to mention a matching fiberglass canopy and i have to say, it was a nice looking bit of kit
looked a lot like a merc from a distance...![]()

Thanks everyone,
I am looking for a real solid project not too expensive, Basically when I start I will end up changing everything. I know myself I will end up making it a new truck so I want to spend as little as possible on the initial truck as most will be changed anyway.

I have not seen any go for 4k for sure not 500km away. One came up for 7k while I was away which has quite a lot of rust so I did not rush in. Now my car emergency is over I can afford to wait for the right one, hopefully a solid 300tdi needing a bit of tlc. Why didnt you let me know yours was for sale?
