Removing the screws from rear speakers

Want. To remove the screws to get one of the rear speakers out so I can get
A lead treated from the battery in the front to power my fridge in the back

I have a set of star screwdrivers .......the smallest of which is T10 .......but these screws seems smaller .........is there a smaller star than T 10 .......or is there a special Speaker screw remover .........I don't want to strip them so I have not touched them until I know what tool I'm supposed to use

THey are called torx fasteners, and they go down very small (they hold the guts of mobile phones and other small electronics together).
Security torx have the pin in the middle.

I have something liek this which has worked well for me so far:

They go down in size to t2 as far as i know inside mobile phones.

If you want the really small sizes, there are fairly cheap torx kits in the 'jewellers screwdriver' style.
If you are after something multi-functional, then some of the hex security bit kits have torx bits in them (this will also get you out of other fastener undoing issues if they ever arise).

Ok ....went out and bought a set of Torx bits ......and a numvpber 8 fits ......
9 too big ...7 too small ......but strange thing is ....it moves around in the screw head no grip ......so looked closely at the screw heads ,......they look like Phillips
Heads ....but a Phillips head doesn't not seem to grip them either .......I'm not forcing anything as I dont want to strip them .......photo attached .....what is going on here or am I just stupid .......a very distinct possibility .......!!

Yeah mate, that's a push rivet / scrivet. It has a philips head, BUT it is made of plastic so treat with care.

I replaced mine with riv-nuts as mine were that buggered from removal a few times that the head of the plastic push rivet was mangled. You might get out of strife one of two ways:
    1) Use some silicone spray on the rivet part (not the philips head slots) and a large screwdriver and downward pressure while unscrewing to coerce it out
    2) Get a prying tool and lever it off. Buy more 6mm scrivets from supercheap

Ah ha ive seen these b4. Im not sure what they r called but i actually have some drive bits like that in a kit i bought from a tandy store years ago. They are available. Possibly try a jaycar store or similar place. They are similar to a phillips bit but not as pointy.
