Just to mention that I know the 4WD Super Centre has a rack with longer legs which will fit a 110. Costs about $400. I looked at it, and it seemed OK, but I haven't bought anything yet, for unrelated reasons.

A lot of you have gone for platforms which I'd also prefer.
Anyone feel the need for a ladder at the back with a platform? I have APT rockslides which make pretty solid steps to get on the roof but a bit narrow for lifting up larger items.

I also use the Front Runner Wind Cheetah (albeit on a 90) and I'm very happy with it. Being fairly lightweight was a big consideration for me. But I have the older welded, single-piece platform. I believe they are a bolt-together system nowadays - I don't know anything about these ones.
The platform on mine has been knocked about a bit with some stuff I've carried on the roof but it is still solid and performing well after 18 months (not really long-term yet).
Front Runner make millions of accessories for these, including a bottle opener! I bought some tie down rings thinking they'd be useful but I haven't used them once. Maybe I need the bottle opener instead.
As for a ladder, that would just encourage me to put more stuff up there!

The rack is good quality, well built. - It is unlikely to break. (its designed to be slept on!)
Its very light, but you need 4 people to install it, unless you have an older defender and you dont care about scratches.
The slats run lengthwise, rather than across. This is supposed to reduce the noise. I dont know how it compares to others, but at 100 kph you hear the rack. I had some buffetting in the configuration I have shown in the pics. Since then, I pushed the rack back so that the front is about 20cm further back. This eliminated the buffeting, the rack is a lot less noisy. The rear overhangs, but it looks still good. It comes with a ladder which I installed using 2 rivnuts.
