    Pelican Case Vs Rhino

    Hi Guys,

i am wanting to put 2 case on the roof rack for bedding and other light stuff.

i already have a big Space case and really like how tough it is. After at least 10 years of camping trips it still works the same.

has anyone used a Rhino case for a few years and hows it holding up.

the Pelican is twice the price but will last a lifetime

    thanks

    Looks like a comparable product.
Much of that cost would be due to lower volumes of the pelican case and shipping all that dead weight around the globe I'd think... The rhino one is an Australian product.

I've got a number (read: 'too many') of the pelican protector and storm cases, and I think they will probably outlast the land rover... Differnt style of case, but bloody good gear.

I have many smaller Pelican cases, and yes, they will outlive me I think. A good friend of mine has those exact Rhino cases you've linked in - 6 of them all up. He uses a couple in the back of his work truck, a couple to store camping gear in and a couple more stay in his 4WD to stop stuff flying around the back. They seem to be very tough and if I needed something that big, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one after seeing what his go through and using them myself when at his workshop or camping with him.

They are all clean inside and the 2 that live in the back of his 4WD are pretty dusty and dirty on the outside, so the seals must work ok. All second hand info I know, but better than 'a mate of a mate has them'

They might come out of the same factory. I've got a large pelican case and they are made here.

Yeah I recon they're all the same thing just rebranded. Made by Trimcast in Melb. Saw some large ones for $99 but too cumbersome. The smaller ones are more pricey! I guess due to sales volumes or whatever. The wolf box by Frontrunner seems quite sensible and cheaper but never seen one.

    Hi
I use both brands at work - the only we've had is on a couple of the RHINO the rubber seal in the lid has come out. We have just glued it back in with Sikalfex and no problems since.

They don't leak. The are tough. And cheaper than PeliCase.

I have one of the grey ones from Bunnings. Seems indestructible. Survived The Simpson fine.
