I'm not 100% sure if I am recalling correctly but I believe the smittybilt winch needs to be installed upside down.. That's what the local ARB told me awhile ago. For what it's worth I ended up with an ironman winch and it fits perfectly.
Hey Guys
So we have the newer ARB winch bar on the 130
Bought a smittybilt winch, which are struggling to fit. Its now looking more and more like its not gong to happen.
Which cheeses me off no end as I was told it would fit in the bar.
So I bought smitty namely for the lifetime warranty its water rating amongst a number of other things, so im reluctant to go and spend double the money for a warn with lesser features just so it will fit in the bar.
Can anyone tell me (and preferably show pictures)
If Runva winches fit in to the new bar without modification.
Thanks
Lou

Hi lou , I put a post on a while ago about this very problem . I also brought an ARB Deluxe Winch Bar only to find that my Super winch would not fit ! The thing is It came off the earlier ARB winch bar . So made contact with ARB to ask if anyone else has come to them with the same problem , only to be told " What do you wont us to do " redesign the bar . I asked so if I fit the Warn winch you specify how do you get access the the spool lever ? From the top was the answer ? That's when I new I was wasting my time even asking . Very disappointed , So now I have a costly winch sitting on my garage floor . I will get something made up to pull the bar about 20mm forward that should do it . Good luck . Jim
Hey Jim unfortunately even pulling the bar forward would not give me enough access for the lever I dont think without cutting the grill. As the winch also had to be spaced out as it was fowling the bar slightly where the feet meet the mounting holes. So I too have an expensive winch sat on the floor.

I've got a ARB deluxe bullbar with a Runva 12000 winch. It fits but I can not disengaged the winch due to the proximity the bar. When I get around to it I will extend the leaver up to clear the bar. Hasn't bothered me yet, but I have only used it in anger a hand full of times.
I have fittted a Runva to an ARB bar, as the previous post rotate the gearbox so that the engagement lever is at the rear. I made a new handle but you still need to reach around under the bar to engage. Very happy with the Runva it has been used for moving big loads with no issues.
Any chance of you guys posting a photo. If I have to go out and buy another winch I really dont want to make a second mistake![]()

I have the ARB bar with an 11,000lb Runva.
The spool lever has a rubber grip, just cut the rubber grip off and it will have enough room to clear the bar without having to rotate anything.

Did you all have to cut the grill to fit the runvas in?
And can anyone give me an idea of how close the winch sits to the fan
