Great idea, I’ll do that for the left side.
I owe you a beer!👍

Tombie, you made this so much easier for me, and it worked perfectly!
Thank you mate!

Is that a rough parts drop down table on the rear window?
Yes mate;
I purchased from Switzerland and fitted them in 2017. I love them.

As above, while waiting for the door hinge captive nuts to arrive (or the flexible magnetic pickup), I thought I’d refurbish my rear cross member due to the crayons that LR originally painted it with and while I had the rear of the vehicle stripped down, I thought I’d give the swing away rear wheel carrier some loving.
Just as well Re the carrier, the bearings that were in there have seen far better days, but luckily, they’re Holden wheel bearings so easy to source from Supercheap on a weekend.👍
Stripped the rear cross member, removed all OEM paint, removed residue and cleaned with turps, then gave it a good coat of converter. I’ll give it overnight to dry, then I’ll mask it all and coat with Rust Guard primer (two coats) then Rust Guard Satin Black, followed by Rust Guard clear coat. Should be finished by Sunday and I’ll give it a few days to set harder before I bolt everything back on.
Oh yes, also converted my GME microphone to magnetic clip on the back, as it’s easier to place in the holder.

New tyres yesterday, after a good run with BFG KM3s I decided to go with Nitto Ridge grapplers to see how they go. I got a bit over 50K out of the KM3s and was happy considering the nature of the roads it gets driven on. Hopefully the off road performance in the paddocks won't be too bad as I never managed to bog the 130 with the KM3s on.

Came up nice mate
Seeing there’s been a bit of discussion around ‘seat rails’ for Defenders on FB, here’s my MUD UK rails installed today. They’re great quality as usual with MUD and the driving position is better to me. A bit higher and farther back.
That, and I relocated my seat storage to the load barrier, and readjusted the bonnet lock which had popped a couple of times.
A good day of little jobs.👍

I locked the Defender (the Kelvinator) with the keys in the ignition! [bighmmm]
Only problem was I was on the outside.
I'm not sure how I accomplished this: I was just getting out. In fifteen years of ownership its the first time this has happened.
Anyway fortunately all I needed to do was drive the other Defender (the S M E G) on a 235km return trip to get the spare keys from our other place.
It's always a pleasure to drive both Defenders.
