What's the trick tombie?
I've heard of using a grease to trap it as it drills, and a vacuum afterwards.
Any risk of stress cracks from threading the cast manifold? Or is that being overly pessimistic?

I was wondering about the risk of Turbo damage from swarf, and more than a little concerned.
Some of the Brits on Defender2.net even suggest that there's a risk of the sensor probe for the EGT unit failing and destroying the Turbo.
I'll still go pre Turbo but a bit twitchy about particles from the drilling and tapping getting to the Turbo.
Thanks fellas.

Today, I fitted my new BAS Airbox to turbine Silicone hose. Came with two new worm drive hose clamps, so obviously BAS consider these suitable as opposed to T Clamp style.
No worries about the turbine hose collapsing with age under load. Great!
Simple, 5 minute job. Jeez I wish the intercooler hoses were this easy!
Best wishes all.

What flavour did you use Ken? [emoji48]
Lube free, fitted like a glove, although believe it or not, I actually did consider going to Woolies to by some KY.
I just can't do it, as I know the check out chick will laugh at me!
