Thread: What did you do to your Puma today?

'There's a young fella in the U.K. who does great Snow cowls in carbon fibre. They look great and I might even purchase one for when I go to Sth in Winter, high country or Tassie.

Have you considered the Landybitz steps? Built like a slider but sit below the sill, so can still be used as a step:

lll keep those in mind, they look good. I think APT do them so I'd buy from Ben.
I need to consider fit issues as I intend to fit accessory fuel tanks under the sills.

mud stuff rear door strut went in. hopefully it softens up a little, it quite the shove to close it now.

tuff trek rear door bag on - behold the storage!

removed x-member, front drive shaft etc to remove cat pipe and fit de-cat, only to find the terrafirma one doesn't fit (contrary to rovercraft's assurances it would)

rec'd my load-lugga style roof shelf arrived from def-is.ru, looks good

loaded it up to head out paddling:

I like your number plate. That was one of the ones I was considering for the 90 but I got outvoted and as its not my car I lost . I'm waiting to see if one of the other plates in that series becomes available for the 110 as it was the number plate on my first car and I believe the car was written off about 15 years ago.

Are those vents intended to let cool air in or hot air out?

the old girl got a new ignition barrel today. The old one completely jammed before I could get the new barrel keyed to my original keys so i now have two sets of keys..

Drove from Brisbane to Gloucester where Drifta fitted the rear storage and bed extension I'd ordered.
Highly recommend making the trip if you can - there's so much pretty countryside around there,
not to mention coming down the New England route I got to see Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield,
Armidale and Tamworth.

The drive over the mountains from Tamworth to Gloucester via Thunderbolt's Way was interesting.
Did it at midnight amid driving rain, heavy fog and very average windy road for stretches.
Only saw two other vehicles headed in the opposite direction over 3.5 hours, so I guess
the smart people wait till daylight.

As for the fitting, arrived at 8am as arranged.
- Was met and taken care of promptly.
- Told it would be done by 11:30am.
- Given a loan vehicle to drive into town.
- Also given a voucher for a free coffee at the Fox's Den Cafe.
- Went there, had a really good big breakfast and relaxed for a few hours.
(highly recommend this place. I guess that's why Drifta do too)
- Went for a walk around Gloucester which is a side of Australia I don't see too much of.
(2,500 population, One main drag. A Mason's Hall. A Returned Soldiers' building. Quaint shops.
All of it framed by craggy mountains and rolling hills)
- Headed back to Drifta and the fitting was finished bang on 11:30am.
- Friendly staff walked me through everything, which looks and feels solid and well built.

A great experience and a great product. Would recommend Drifta to anyone.
They must be one of the biggest employers in the town based on what I saw.
Didn't realize the size of their operation - everyone busy but still a nod and a hello as they go past.
