Well Pickles, it's very difficult cos of course I was done like a dinner, but I wasn't holding to a set amount for my 90, rather more interested in the "changeover" price. I would no doubt have got more for my 90 privately, but we have just changed over both our cars and another (3 all up) all sold on car sales and the experience was mind numbing. So I didn't want to go through it all again and not sure how long it would take, as there are a lot of good value defenders just sitting there atm not moving. Plus I really wanted that 110 lol. I'll wait and see what they list my 90 at, hopefully I'll be sitting downOriginally Posted by Pickles2

Damn i knew this thread was going to cost me, my only concern is the thumping Allisport I/C might raise an eyebrow, i've already raided most bits from APT & Rigididje, time to move onto Ashcroft & Allisport. Still thinking about the Allisport radiator, but i think it might be wise with the 170 hp BAS and living in Qld. So that all adds up to , just blink quickly & move on.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

I was a bit worried about the huge intercooler too - so was thinking the 150hp tune (no need for bigger intercooler) would be the way to go. Loved it so much bought the 170hp upgrade and intercooler anyway!

SubscriberToday I walked past my defender on the way to work, admiring how clean it was after investing a whole 6 clams at the car wash to give it a splash of high pressure soap and a rinse last weekend. Then I noticed the whopping big bird crap on the far side
This afternoon, I walked past it a second time, opting to take the work car to the gym as the motor was already warm and the heater would do it's heaty thing a bit quicker than the defender for the 4km trip. I made the mistake of driving it last week... 8 degrees with a windchill of about 3... wearing a singo and shorts, window down with an arm out the window in the 'defender pose'. Could not feel my fingers, but at least I looked the part!
I guess it's a first world problem having to choose which car to drive. In another country I might have to worry about rape, cholera, and warlords who have armies of small children with machetes.

Im tossing up what to do next, in the next couple weeks i could do BAS 170 tune and their new intercooler and silicone hoses, or wait a tad longer and get the ashcroft front and rear lockers.....leaning toward the tune...

I've been trying to track down a bloody annoying rattle in the rear of my 90 for a couple of weeks. I think it's coming from the rear door but I've pulled just about everything off it and it's still rattling over decent bumps.
I now think the rattle is coming from the lock (because there's bugger-all left at the rear).
I'll just have to turn the stereo up a bit more if I can't sort it out.
